EventModeling Change in Dietary PatternsMarch 14, 2012 More Information: http://sitemaker.umich.edu/cehc/home NIEHS/EPA Children's Environmental Health Center's 'Perinatal Exposures, Epigenetics, Child Obesity & Sexual Maturation' presents guest speaker Daniela Sotres-Alvarez, Dr.P.H., Department of Biostatistics, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill speaking on 'Modeling Change in Dietary Patterns'. Many current public health interventions target the way people eat. However, current methods of dietary analysis are rudimentary and not able to capture details of dietary change over time. Dr. Daniela Sotres-Alvarez has pioneered more eloquent statistical methods for improved characterization of these changes. In this guest lecture, Dr. Sotres-Alvarez will explain how latent class models can be used to derive and study dietary patterns over time. |
