The HBHE Alumni Engagement Committee will be interviewing two time HBHE alum Douglas Roehler, PhD, MPH. Dr. Roehler will be sharing his educational and professional journey to his current position at the CDC, followed by a Q&A session. About Dr. Roehler: Douglas Roehler, PhD, MPH is a health scientist in the Division of Overdose Prevention at the CDC in Atlanta where he works on preventing drug overdose deaths. Prior to this position, he was a global road safety field employee at the CDC Foundation. In this role, Dr. Roehler was responsible for working with low- and middle-income countries to build their capacity at assessing and improving road safety around schools. Dr. Roehler completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at Rush University Medical Center in the Department of Pediatrics where his research focused on child injury prevention. He received his PhD and MPH from the Department of Health Behavior and Health Education at the University of Michigan School of Public Health. Light refreshments will be available for in-person attendees, but all are encouraged to listen in via Blue Jeans (https://bluejeans.com/4475068227).
