tayobNabihah Tayob, PhD

Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard Medical School

PhD 2013 - University of Michigan Biostatistics

My academic career has focused on integrating myself into clinical research teams to provide biostatistical expertise within the context of each study and developing novel statistical methods to improve clinical research. Currently, I have two broad areas of active research. I am deeply involved in research towards improving the early detection of liver cancer, from my own grant developing statistical methods for screening with longitudinal biomarkers to the NCI Translational Liver Cancer Consortium that has brought together researchers from across the US working to improve mortality rates associated with this cancer. At DFCI, I collaborate extensively with researchers in the Susan F Smith Center for Women's Cancers, co-lead the Biostatistics Cores for the Breast and Ovarian SPOREs and lead a group of statisticians that support the clinical trials and research studies being conducted.

Dr. Tayob's talk will be titled: Making a difference: improving early detection of liver cancer
