Colleen MacCallum-Bridges

macTraining: BA in Statistics and an MS in Biostatistics from Grand Valley State University (Allendale, MI). PhD in Epidemiology from Michigan State University (East Lansing, MI).

Research Focus:  I use my training in epidemiology and biostatistics to investigate the role of macro-level social factors, such as policy, in shaping population health and health equity. During my doctoral studies, this included investigating the impact of the Affordable Care Act on health outcomes among women of reproductive age (e.g., unintended pregnancy, pregnancy health indicators, and birth outcomes). Currently, I am working on the Michigan COVID-19 Recovery Surveillance Study (MI CReSS), seeking to better understand the many impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on health and health equity among MI residents.
