Training: PhD, Sociology, University of California, San Francisco; MPH, Maternal and Child Health, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill; BA, Spanish, Psychology, Georgetown University

Research Focus: My research examines the effects of population change and social determinants on young children's health and mortality in low- and middle-income countries. In particular, I am interested in how migration and urbanization, gender, and social and structural context shape care-seeking behaviors, health, and health disparities for children and their families.
