Research Focus: I am interested in psychiatric epidemiology, substance use disorders, mental health policy, and the relationship between physical and mental health. Recent projects I have been involved with include applying machine learning methods to suicide research, analyzing trajectories of psychological distress among individuals exposed to the 9/11 World Trade Center Disaster, assessing the association between fatigue and psychotic symptoms in the general population, and an ethics sub-study of a national opiate addiction drug trial.
