Ph.D. Student Profile
B.A. Environmental Analysis, Pomona College, 2011
Research Interests & Projects
I am broadly interested in modifiable environmental influences on health, particularly on neurodevelopmental disorders and gynecologic cancers. My first chapter investigates the association between maternal prenatal folic acid and vitamin supplementation and the subsequent development of autism spectrum disorder in the child, and whether this relationship depends on maternal genotype. My second and third chapters focus on ovarian cancer survival. The goal of these projects is to identify factors related to long-term survival of ovarian cancer, potentially including hormone therapies, other medications, and lifestyle factors.
