Research Interests & Projects
My background is in respiratory pathogens, specifically the evolution and ecological changes in Streptococcus pneumoniae following vaccine implementation. My current research involves studying the interactions between respiratory bacteria and viruses and examining how the host microbiome can influence transmission and pathogenesis. Additional research interests include antimicrobial resistance and the integration of molecular techniques and methods into epidemiological investigations.
