Research Interests & Projects
My research interests include nutritional epidemiology, micronutrients, behavioral health, and cognitive development. I'm interested in studying the relation between nutrition in childhood and behavioral health problems and cognitive development later in life.
Current Research: Currently, my research focuses on dietary risk factors of behavioral health problems in Latin American children. I am examining the relation of micronutrients (iron, zinc, and vitamins A, B12 and D), fatty acids, and dietary patterns in middle childhood with externalizing and internalizing behavior problems in adolescents.
