Join us for a Health Equity in Action weekend to remember! This HEALTH EQUITY IN ACTION forum will present a reminding connection between the 2014 Flint Water Crisis and the 2010 Haiti Earthquake. These two widely-known public health crises spurned instant social media coverage, created lesser known health epidemics, and now provide lessons for all of us towards building sustainable Equity In Action. 1st Annual Melva Hardy Memorial Scholarship Luncheon Sept. 15th @ 12pm School of Public Health, Ann Arbor, MI The Melva Hardy Memorial Scholarship was established to honor the memory of MELVA FRANCINE HARDY. Graduating from the University of Michigan School of Public Health in 2000 with a Masters of Health Services Administration, Ms. Hardy embodied the drive, excellence, and compassion that merit recognition as an outstanding alumna. Melva was a Summer Enrichment Program (UM SEP) participant in 1997 and served as the President of the Public Health Students of African Descent (PHSAD) during her time at UMSPH.
