The Firearm Safety Among Children and Teems (FACTS) Consortium presents an interdisciplinary panel exploring a public health approach to preventing child firearm accidents and injuries. Our expert panelists from across the U.S will provide an overview and historical perspective on child firearm violence and discuss promising policy and primary prevention approaches at the individual and community-level. Our panelists include Patrick Carter, Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Michigan, Frederick Rivara, Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Washington, April Zeoli, policy expert and Professor of Criminal Justice at Michigan State University and Charlie Branas, Chair of the Epidemiology Department at the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University.
