This documentary film by American filmmaker Chris Farina, is centered on an 8-week, political simulation, The World Peace Game. Over the course of eight weeks, students in 4th-grade teacher John Hunter’s Charlottesville, Virginia class take on the roles of nation leaders, UN representatives, the World Bank, tribal chieftans, who negotiate the trade rights to their resource-rich lands, arms dealers, in a comprehensive game designed to encourage discussion, promote negotiation skills, and, achieve world peace. We would like to conclude the workshop with a brief discussion. Please feel free to bring lunch with you.
