Film & Discussion: Reel Bad Arabs: How Hollywood Vilifies a People
North Quad, Room 2435
North Quad, Room 2435
Nationally, Arab Heritage Month is celebrated throughout the month of April. On campus, we begin our celebration on February 17 and conclude in mid-April. This year, many of our events focus on broadening the conversation about inclusion and exclusion, with the hopes of engaging in dialogue about the nuances of language, culture, and geography. We hope to explore and highlight stories that represent the perspectives across the Arab diaspora, exploring the terms "Arab" "Middle Eastern/North African" and "Southwest Asian/North African." The official hashtag for Arab Heritage Month at U-M is #MESAxAHM. Suggested hashtags to also include are: #ArabWolverines #MichiganMENA #WeExist Multi-Ethnic Student Affairs
