This one-hour training session is for University of Michigan School of Public Health faculty who are interested in learning more about writing for the Conversation. The Conversation is a nonprofit independent news analysis outlet which publishes articles on timely topics and issues written by academics for a general audience. The articles not only reach the Conversation's subscribers but are often picked up by local, national and international news outlets. The training session will be led by by Andrea LaFerle, director of public relations at Michigan Public Health, and Nardy Baeza Bickel, senior public relations representative at Michigan News. While the content of this session is targeted to faculty, PhD students and postdocs who are interested in writing for the Conversation are welcome to register. If the session reaches capacity, priority will be given to faculty members.
