Keynote Speaker and Celebration
University of Michigan School of Public Health
1680 SPH I, 1415 Washington Heights Ann Arbor, MI 48109-2029

La Salud is thrilled to invite you to the 2nd Annual Week of Celebrating Cultural Resistance at the School of Public Health. This is a series of events intended to highlight the different ways in which communities of color demonstrate resilience and continue to flourish amidst social, political, and economic adversity. The week will culminate with a dinner and celebration where we will have Monica Lewis-Patrick share a few words with our community. Dubbed the Water Warrior, Mrs. Lewis-Patrick is an educator, entrepreneur, and human rights activist/advocate who has been actively engaged in almost every struggle on behalf of Detroit residents. During the celebration, we will also have students highlighting their culture and heritage through performances, such as singing, dancing, and spoken word! This series of events is free and open to all members of the University of Michigan. Spread the word, invite your network, and help us highlight the strengths that our communities possess!
