Training and Technical Assistance
The Center provides technical assistance regarding the integration of genomics into public health practice to public health systems at the state and local level in Michigan, as well as the surrounding region and nationally as feasible.
Examples of technical assistance activities include:
- Assisting state and local health departments with genomics-related activities and initiatives as requested.
- Identifying speakers and/or topics specific to genomics for public health conferences.
- Collaborating with other national initiatives aimed at the integration of genomics in public health (e.g. "New Strategies in Public Health Genomics: Actions to Save Lives Now").
