Vice President, Government Affairs and Policy
Ms. Turnipseed is a practicing lawyer who brings to the position over 15 years of healthcare policy experience. Most recently, she was the vice president, prevention and population health at America's Health Insurance Plans where she served as the resident expert on prevention, wellness, and population health-related policies, issues, recommendations, and best practices on the clinical affairs team. In that role, she directed a multi-year, multi-million dollar CDC cooperative agreement to prevent diabetes. Prior to that position, she worked for two United States Senators as their health legislative assistant and policy advisor with particular attention on increasing access to health insurance for the uninsured, pharmaceuticals, HIV/AIDS, health disparities, Medicare, Medicaid, physician and medical device issues, regulations and payment policies.
