My teaching and training interests are in building biostatistics and epidemiology capacity in developing countries. While India and China both have a rich tradition of mathematical statistics, the culture of true biomedical collaboration has not been adopted in the statistics training system. Through development of online teaching modules, accompanied by onsite instructors a new model for hybrid flipped classroom teaching through biostatistics bootcamps can be an effective strategy. I am interested in developing new training methods that are effective in developing nations. I am interested in analyzing genetic and environmental data jointly and understanding variation.
