  • After a eastablishing a foundation in field epidemiology, mostly in South and Central America, Dr. Koopman changed his focus to devoloping theory and a systems science of infection transmission.
  • Helped to initiate Michigan’s Center for the Study of Complex Systems and continues to be an active investigator in that center.
