  • Co-PI in the Detroit Community-Academic Urban Research, a CDC-funded project conducting community-based participatory research in Detroit. Also works to enroll uninsured low-income children in Medicaid or in the state's new MIChild Program, and works with the CHASS Health Center in Southwest Detroit to provide advocacy services to Hispanic patients enrolled in Medicaid Managed Care Plans.
  • Also has studied effects of diversity in medical teams and effects of innovations in patient treatments on job satisfaction among mental health staff.
