  • Jan23Winter Blood Drive The American Red Cross will be conducting a blood drive PHSA and the American Red Cross will be holding a blood drive at SPH. Interested in donating? Follow these steps:
    • Visit the American Red Cross website.
    • Type "goblue" for the sponsor code in the top right corner.
    • Find January 23rd and click on "U of M School of Public Health."
    • Click "Give Blood" next to the time you are available.
    • Follow the steps given to confirm your appointment.

    P.S. - We've heard there's some sort of football game this same evening. But hey, why not try something new this year! Or just come during halftime!

  • Mar10SPH Formal PHSA's signature yearly event, the SPH Formal, will be held at the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum this year! The kids will be kicked out of the pool, cuz it's adult swim time. Get fancied up and act all refined and mature, while releasing your inner child! All the fun exhibits and gadgets will be ours to play with. Finger foods provided; drinks available via cash bar.   • Nov11Circle K Service Day: Prairie Restoration at the Farm at St. Joe's

    Please join PHSA on Saturday, November 11 from 11:30 AM - 4:15 PM to volunteer at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor. The farm at the hospital serves the community by improving access to fresh food, nutrition education, and therapy. Volunteers will be working on the property doing prairie restoration that involves removing invasive species. Be sure to dress for the weather and bring work gloves if you have them. If you do not have gloves, they will be provided. This project is a great way to help the environment while spending some time outdoors.

  • Nov30Taste of the WorldThis November, the Rackham Assembly Hall will be transformed into the multicultural, culinary bonanza that is the University of Michigan School of Public Health's First Annual "Taste of the World," offering mouthwatering samples of food from across the country and world, in addition to music and a cultural performance. Students and/or student organizations may sign up as Chefs prior to the event and have the opportunity to "cook a dish that they love from wherever they identify as home," according to Lumerman. The event is free and open to the University of Michigan School of Public Health faculty, staff, graduate students, and undergraduate students.Location TBD
