About the Summer Enrichment Program
SEP-HEALTHSpark is a dynamic and engaging 6-week opportunity for students to deepen their passion for health equity and to jumpstart education and careers in healthcare, health policy, and public health.
Each summer the department of Health Management and Policy at the School of Public
Health hosts 15-20 undergraduate students from across the country for six weeks of
exposure to healthcare and public health from a management and policy focus and preparation
for graduate school success.
Through these experiences, students will be supported in achieving the following objectives:
- Identify the critical importance of health equity
- Use data and information to address health disparities
- Recognize social and ethical issues in health services, health policy, and public health
- Practice interdisciplinary teamwork, leadership, and communication skills related to health equity
- Demonstrate professional competencies, skills, and responsibilities in health services, health policy, and public health
