Meet Your Mentor: Adam Paberzs
In Adam's roles at Washtenaw County Health Department (WCHD) and Michigan Institute for Clinical and Health Research (MICHR) he focuses on improving health and health equity through strong community-based partnerships. At WCHD, he works with community partners to incorporate health equity into their community health assessment and health improvement planning process. This involves building relationships, engaging communities, and prioritizing action where inequities are the greatest in Washtenaw County. At MICHR, he connects academic researchers with community-based organization partners who have common interests in developing collaborative research projects. In both roles, his work is all about supporting community-engaged initiatives and equitable partnerships for health. He believes these types of partnerships can be a catalyst for addressing the root causes of health inequities. Adam is fortunate to have been involved with FPHLP for several years and is excited to get to know future pubic health leaders.
