Meet Your Mentor: Olushola Samuel

In Olushola's role as Division Administrator of Internal Medicine at Michigan Medicine, he helps lead division finances, human resources, clinical operations, research administration, and faculty affairs for our 60 faculty members. He oversees divisional budgets, and works closely with physician leaders to facilitate process improvements, expand clinical services, and enhance the patient experience. Prior to this, Olushola was a business manager for obstetrics and gynecology at Beaumont Health where he helped to lead the integration and strategic planning for women's and children's services across the organization's eight hospitals. His work experiences has taught him the importance of relationship building, initiative, and integrity. The FPHLP has been so successful because it prioritizes those attributes when selecting and developing its students for the summer. He looks forward to the privilege of serving as a mentor in the program.
