The University of Michigan School of Public Health’s Department of Epidemiology uses a multidisciplinary approach to explore reducing and preventing disease in human populations with rigorous research, innovative education, and dedicated service.

By doing research in the lab, the community, and clinical settings, and by using archives and computer simulations, our epidemiology master’s degree students develop the skills they need to partner with health professionals and agencies at all levels, and pursue careers in epidemiology that improve public health the world over.
