Michigan COVID-19 Recovery Surveillance Study (MI CReSS)

Project Description

MI CReSS Logo

MI CReSS is a collaborative effort between the University of Michigan School of Public Health (UM SPH) and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS). The goal of MI CReSS is to learn from people who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 about their experiences before, during, and after their illness. Results from our study will help inform the public health response effort and policy. For more information, please visit http://sph.umich.edu/mi-cress/

We are currently conducting follow-up interviews with baseline participants in partnership with the University of Michigan Survey Research Center to learn more about potential experiences with Long COVID and reinfection. Our collaborators in the Department of Health Behavior and Health Education are also conducting a series of qualitative pilot interviews with baseline participants and we recently launched a Disparities sub-project to quantify and further understand racial/ethnic and geographic disparities in COVID-19 outcomes in Michigan.
