Dr. Kullgren's research interests include understanding and improving how patients’ health insurance affects their health care decisions, consumer-directed health care and the effects of high-deductible health plans, translation of insights from behavioral economics and other behavioral sciences into scalable interventions to optimize health care decisions, and clinician and patient factors that drive overuse of health care.
