Apply for a Non-Candidate for Degree
Non-Degree Candidate for Degree
Students who have already earned a bachelor's degree and/or are interested in taking a few classes for personal enrichment, continuing education, or teacher's certification are considered Non-Candidate for Degree (NCFD) students. As an NCFD prospect, you must first get approval from the department program coordinator who resides in the department affiliated with the course you wish to enroll in. Provide them with the name of the course so they can approve your request for an application. Applicants can request a Non-Candidate for Degree (NCFD) application by contacting [email protected]. NCFDs:
- are admitted on a per-term basis,
- can only register for an in-person course on the first day of classes,
- can only take up to two courses in one semester, and
- can only take 10 credits as a NCFD in a lifetime.
In addition, permission from the course instructor of each course is required to register. If you have been denied admission, dismissed, or placed on probation, you cannot apply to take courses.
The application deadline for a Winter 2025 start is December 15, 2024.
