Hitomi Katsumi, Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Administrative Assistant
Hitomi Katsumi serves as the Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Administrative Assistant. Her portfolio includes coordinating across the SPH DEI team, providing high level support to the DEI Director and working on strategic projects for the DEI Office such as event management and communications. Hitomi brings over 10 years of professional experience spanning administrative support, event planning, as well as DEI curriculum development and facilitation in higher education and non-profit organizations. She has a strong history of DEI work, including her service on several U-M DEI committees at the Center for Research on Learning and Teaching, the Center for Positive Organizations, and Michigan Ross School of Business.
Hitomi graduated from the University of Michigan studying cultural psychology and music performance. Born in Aichi, Japan and having grown up in Michigan, she is honored to return to the University after welcoming an incredibly active and curious baby, Yuki, in January 2023.
