Research Projects

Health Worker Perspectives on COVID-19 in Sierra Leone: Informing Preparedness for Future Public Health Emergencies. This project aims to strengthen global preparedness for public health emergencies by investigating the contextual determinants influencing the adoption of recommended health behaviors for COVID-19 among health workers in Sierra Leone. Specifically, this research focuses on a low-income setting that has previously experienced a massive infectious disease outbreak like Ebola. By employing data-driven theory generation and testing methodologies, this study extends the literature on COVID-19 prevention behaviors and vaccine uptake while providing valuable evidence on facilitators and barriers.
