Faculty Profile
Wei Hao, PhD
- Research Assistant Professor, Biostatistics
Dr. Hao is interested in statistical methodology development in mediation analysis
for multiple and high-dimensional mediators, with applications in health-related fields,
such as nutrition, environmental health, and epidemiology. Her collaborative work
are primarily focused on analysis of complex biomedical data from exposure to chemical
mixtures, chronic kidney disease, and cancer.
- PhD, Biostatistics, University of Michigan, 2021
- MA, Statistics, University of Michigan, 2008
- MA, Economics, Peking University, 2007
- BS, Statistics, Beijing Normal University, 2005
Research Interests:
Statistical methods in mediation analysis and causal inference, electronic health records data, statistical applications in environmental health, nephrology and pathology.
Research Projects:
Hao's methodological research focuses on development in mediation analysis with multiple or high-dimensional mediators, and their applications.
Hao has extensive experience working with environmental health data and her current interests are in modeling the associations between exposure to multipollutant mixtures and health outcomes.
