David Musch, PhD, MPH

Dr. Musch is Professor of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences in the Medical School
and Professor of Epidemiology in the School of Public Health at the University of
Michigan. He received his MPH and PhD (in epidemiologic sciences) from the University
of Michigan. Dr. Musch studies clinical and patient-reported outcomes of treatments
for both common and uncommon eye diseases, with a focus that has ranged from corneal
transplantation to medical and surgical treatments for glaucoma. Screening and diagnosis
of common childhood eye diseases, and disparities in eye care, are also among his
research interests. He serves on monitoring boards for many ongoing clinical trials
of proposed treatments for eye diseases, editorial boards for three journals, and
is an Advisory Board member for the Cochrane Collaboration Eyes and Vision Group US
Project.
