Lesli Skolarus, MD, MS

Dr. Skolarus is a stroke neurologist whose research focuses on behavioral trials to promote health equity, community based participatory research and health services research. She holds a Master's degree in Health and Health Care Research.

Dr. Skolarus is deeply committed to promoting health equity. For the last 10 years, she has worked in partnership with the Flint community to prevent stroke and to increase acute stroke treatments in Flint, Michigan. Her research also explores the impact of post-acute care and end-of-life preferences on disability. She has published over 75 manuscripts. Presently, she serves as the Principal Investigator on four NIH-funded studies.
