Academic Attire
Graduates participating in the University of Michigan virtual graduation ceremony are not required to wear official U-M academic attire, but may choose to obtain their own. As a reminder, graduates will not be on camera during the virtual ceremony.
If you would like to order academic attire for your own use outside of the ceremony, you may purchase your attire when you register to participate in the virtual graduation ceremony, or follow this link.
April 12, 2021: deadline to order to ship directly to your home. You must pay the shipping fee of $11.00.

Public Health Cap and Gown Re-use Program
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Public Health Sustainability Initiative (PHSI) Cap and Gown Reuse Program will not be in operation for the 2021 graduation ceremony.

Accommodations
The University of Michigan wants to ensure that all graduates, candidates, and guests can participate fully in the virtual graduation ceremony.
A sign language interpreter will be present and there will be live captioning.
