Faculty Advisor - Ebbin Dotson, Ph.D, M.H.S.A
Ebbin Dotson is an Assistant Professor of Health Management and Policy at the UM School of Public Health. He earned his BS (organizational studies) and MHSA (health management and policy) at the University of Michigan, and his PhD (health services and policy analysis) at the University of California - Berkeley. Before joining the UM faculty in 2016, he was the Assistant Dean of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion at the University of Illinois - Chicago School of Public Health. Dr. Dotson's research focuses on "pipeline" programs (like UM SEP) that encourage young people of color to pursue health management careers. He also seeks ways to demonstrate that such programs to increase leadership diversity make sense from a business perspective. Dr. Dotson serves on the UM SPH Health Management and Policy Alumni board, and was also on the UM SEP Advisory Committee until he took over as Director in 2016.

Staff Advisor - Christopher Clarke, MPA
Christopher A. Clarke, MPA is the Program Director of SEP. Prior to joining the University of Michigan, Mr. Clarke served as the Director of Diversity Initiatives at the University of Illinois at Chicago's School of Public Health where he was responsible for the design, implementation and evaluation of diversity recruitment and retention-related programming. Mr. Clarke brings over 8 years of professional experience to the University of Michigan, working primarily on college access initiatives for students coming from underrepresented backgrounds. His research interests are focused on healthcare management, policy, leadership, diversity, and health disparities. Mr. Clarke received his Masters of Public Administration degree with a concentration in Organizational Management from Roosevelt University's College of Arts and Sciences. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Concordia University Wisconsin's College of Education, double majoring in Educational Studies and Justice & Public Policy while minoring in Health Education.
