The Diag
The Diag

Disability Day of Mourning is an annual event organized by Autistic Self Advocacy Network (ASAN) to remember disabled community members killed by caretakers or family members (filicide) in the past year. This year, a Disability Day of Mourning Candlelight Vigil will be collaboratively hosted by multiple disability focused organizations around campus including DRIVE, Disability Justice @ Michigan, Autism Spectrum Club, and DAC-HP. Join these groups and other community members on the Diag, where we will remember those lost and call for justice in legal accountability and media reporting on this issue. (Electric) candles will be provided. This event will have live ASL interpretation and CART.
