DIVINCI: Extension to SARS-CoV-2
The Dissection of Influenza Vaccination and Infection for Childhood Immunity (DIVINCI) research consortium, led by St. Jude and University of Michigan, helps us learn how the immune system protects the body against future influenza exposure.
The study was extended to investigate the natural history of SARS-CoV-2 and development of immunity to SARS-CoV-2 in early 2020. Researchers will enroll about 3,000 children from New Zealand, Nicaragua and the US into the study. The study includes 12 centers in the United States, New Zealand, Australia and Nicaragua and is funded by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease (NIAID).
