Training: BA, Psychology, Pomona College; MD, University of Michigan; postdoctoral training in Epidemiology and Biostatistics
Research Focus: Our group uses the diseases stroke, dementia and sleep disordered breathing to study why minority populations have greater incidence and worse disease outcomes. We do community-based epidemiology. We are particularly interested in social factors such as caregiving and neighborhood factors and their role in solutions to health disparities. We are also involved in health behavior interventions and clinical observations.
