Research Focus: As a physician-epidemiologist, my research will focus on the social determinants of stroke, particularly in underserved populations. I aim to identify and address systemic inequities that contribute to disparities in stroke incidence, treatment, and outcomes. By employing innovative epidemiological methods and utilizing digital health technologies, I will strive to develop and implement culturally relevant interventions that promote stroke prevention and improve access to care for all. My research will specifically explore the impact of socioeconomic factors on stroke risk and recovery, the role of digital health tools in enhancing stroke prevention and management in resource-limited settings, and the development of community-based interventions that address social determinants and promote health equity in stroke care.
