HPSA is excited to be hosting the 2024 Health Policy Case Competition April 4th - April 5th. Use this link to register for the event; the deadline to register is March 22, 2024 11:59 PM EST.

All University of Michigan Students are encouraged to sign up for this case competition to solve a real world health-policy challenge. Students will tackle multiple factors in their solution including: feasibility, legality, equity, and financial decision making. Teams will have the chance to present a policy brief and presentation to experts within the healthcare field.

Prizes:

  • First Place - $2,000
  • Second Place - $1,500
  • Third place - $1,000

Logistics: Students can sign up to be placed in a team of 3-5 students or sign up with their own team (Team captains only need to fill out one form on behalf of their team). Teams will be finalized, and the case will be released to teams by Monday, March 25th, 2024. Case development and presentation training and advising opportunities will be provided (More information TBA).

The first round of case presentations will take place virtually Thursday, April 4th. The second and final round of case presentations will be in-person Friday, April 5th (location TBA).

Friday, April 5th we are excited to host Representative Alabas Farhat, a State Representative of the 3rd House District who has made significant progress in advancing health equity in Michigan. Following his speech we have our awards ceremony and a reception with catering from Chela's Restaurant & Taqueria.
