Looking for funding opportunities beyond traditional research grants? Interested in how entrepreneurship fits into public health? Join us for a hands-on workshop in collaboration with the U-M Library, where we’ll explore funding databases, search strategies, and alternative funding sources — including those supporting public health innovation and entrepreneurial ventures. We’ll cover: How to efficiently search for grants, fellowships, and funding opportunities using library databases The differences between federal and non-federal funding sources (nonprofits, foundations, private sector, etc.) Where to find grant-writing resources to strengthen your applications Public health entrepreneurship: funding options for innovative projects, social ventures, and community-driven solutions While this workshop won’t provide in-depth grant writing instruction, it will equip you with the tools and strategies to identify funding that aligns with your research and career goals. This event was organized by SPH PhD Career Consultant, Danielle Smith.
