Tara has nearly 15 years of experience in higher education, working in alumni engagement and student career development. As Director of Alumni Engagement, Tara works with the Michigan Public Health alumni community to build connections with the School, as well as create high-impact programs for students and alumni to learn from each other and explore paths to professional aspirations. Supporting the success of others and ensuring they have access to these difference-making experiences is rewarding.

As Director of Donor Relations & Communications, Betsy is the Stewardship Officer for the School of Public Health delivering high-level impact reports to donors, and she helps to manage the Dean's Advisory Board. Betsy also manages gift accounts and ensures proper fund management. Betsy loves connecting donors to scholarship recipients and faculty members and communicating the impact of donor support.

Ashley is the the Major Gifts Officer Associate. She creates meaningful philanthropic relationships with donors and the School of Public Health. She primarily works in Michigan, Colorado, Arizona and select States on the West Coast. Ashley truly enjoys being a part of the Development and Engagement Team and is proud of the SPH community. Seeing the students thrive and make a positive difference in the world inspires her.

Sydney is the Senior Development Assistant. She coordinates across the Development and Alumni Engagement team, providing high level support to the Chief Development Officer and working on strategic projects such as mentoring programs and the Michigan Public Health Connect platform. Sydney interned with the team during the summer of 2020, and rejoined full-time in June of 2022. She is an alumna of the undergraduate program at SPH, and graduated in the Spring of 2021. As a former student, she is especially passionate about donor support for our programs and students.

Nathan is the Associate Director of Major Gifts, working with SPH alumni and friends to connect their philanthropic goals and the school. He works mainly with individuals in the Midwest and eastern region of the country. The most rewarding part of his work is seeing the impact philanthropy has on students.

Michael is the Associate Director of Leadership Annual Giving and Data Analytics, jointly focused on annual giving campaigns and soliciting leadership annual gifts, major gifts, planned and blended gifts from individual donors. Michael joined the Michigan Public Health development team in 2014 and has held positions in all aspects of university advancement, including annual giving, donor relations, prospect research, advancement services and campaign operations. Michael also manages data building and dashboard creation for leadership. He greatly enjoys helping donors realizing the impact that they can achieve through philanthropy.

As Chief Development Officer at Michigan Public Health, Tony leads a team of professionals dedicated towards advancing the mission of the School through engagement and philanthropy. Prior to joining Michigan Public Health, Tony was the Major Gift Officer at UM's Ford School of Public Policy, Bowling Green State University, and the Shakespeare Theatre Company in Washington, DC. Prior to philanthropy, Tony served as a Legislative Assistant in the U.S. House of Representatives, where he focused on domestic policy issues. Tony has a Master's Degree in Organization Development from Bowling Green State University.
