Rm G850 SPH I, 1415 Washington Heights Ann Arbor, MI 48109-2029
Join us for a research presentation by Dr. Edward Ruiz-Narvaez who will be talking about the Latest Results of the Longevity and Healthy Aging Study in Costa Rica (CRELES) in Spanish. Costa Rica, a middle-income country in Central America, has a life expectancy similar or even higher than wealthy countries. This survival advantage is more evident among the elderly, who have one of the lowest mortality rates in the world. In a prospective analysis of participants aged 60+ years, we have found that dietary factors may play a role in this extended longevity. NS DEI Committee
