“Live like Eileen” means to live with kindness, loyalty, strength, compassion, humor, and to love unconditionally. In her too short time with us, Eileen exuded all of these qualities to everyone she met. Her beautiful smile and ocean-blue eyes captured the hearts of more people than many can do in a lifetime. Her spirit will live through us forever. Eileen was a senior at Michigan studying Economics, planning to move to Chicago after graduation. She loved running (finishing the Ann Arbor half marathon this past fall), cooking, listening to her favorite podcasts through the Arb (It's Me, Tinx), hanging out with her friends and roommates, and making everyone around her laugh and smile. She was a light and an inspiration for everyone at the University of Michigan and beyond. Eileen passed away on January 27th due to a tragic skiing accident. This 5K is in honor of Eileen and the things and people that she loved. Please join us in running or walking this 5K in the Nichols Arboretum. The ticket to participate includes a free T-shirt, free entry into a raffle with prizes you don't want to miss, and free snacks and drinks before and after the race. We have a goal of raising $10,000 to dedicate a bench to Eileen Sheahan in the Nichols Arboretum. Help us reach our goal by participating and donating!
