Diversity, equity, and inclusion have become extremely important in social and educational settings, as well as professional settings. Interpersonal communication is a key part of DEI and professional development. In this interactive workshop, you will reflect on your own identities (those that are both dominant and non-dominant), discuss how your identities impact your professional development, and then practice multicultural communication skills in networking and interviewing simulations. The goal of this program is to prepare you to use inclusive communication skills in professional settings. Note: This event’s information is shown in Handshake as well as on the Happening @ Michigan calendar so that it will be seen by a larger number of U-M students. You can only register to attend this event within Handshake.
