Indirect Costs
The hybrid MHSA Executive Master’s program offered by the School of Public Health can be an affordable option suited for students who prefer or require a flexible learning format. Below are some additional costs to consider as you budget for your master’s program.
- Travel Expenses: While online/hybrid learners aren’t required to join us in housing on campus, required in-person sessions mean you may incur costs from traveling to and from campus. Depending on where you are based, these costs may be higher.
- Technology: It may come as no surprise that your computer and internet connection will be critical to your success in this program. We want to be as flexible as possible in letting you access your courses in a way that suits your needs and preferences; however, there are some parts of this program that require specific equipment that may involve additional costs to you.
- Books: The cost of books for our hybrid programs can be relatively minimal. In fact, most reference material is made available online. However, this cost can vary by course or an individual’s desire to own print copies and/or supplement their learning with additional materials.

The University of Michigan Office of Financial Aid assists students with securing funding for study at the School of Public Health. Funding can include federal and private loans, Federal Work-Study, need-based aid, and private grants and scholarships. US VETERAN & ACTIVE DUTY MILITARY
The University of Michigan offers in-state tuition to veterans, reservists and active duty service members. An application can be completed online through the Office of the Registrar - Residency.

REDUCED TUITION FOR LIFELONG LEARNERS
