University of Michigan School of Public Health magazine wins 2013 CASE Circle of Excellence Awards

Spring 2012 Findings magazineFindings magazine, published by the University of Michigan School of Public Health, received two 2013 Circle of Excellence awards from the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). The magazine received the CASE gold award for its special issue entitled "Why Michigan Matters." The 56-page publication delved into why Michigan is an ideal place to study, practice, and reinvigorate the art and science of public health.

"Findings is a key part of the school's efforts to strengthen ties with our constituents and to communicate the profoundly important work of public health, which is so often invisible," said Leslie Stainton, who has served as editor of the magazine since 1998.

The magazine also received the 2013 bronze medal for design, which is produced by Ann Arbor–based Hammond Design.

Spring 2013 issue of FindingsFindings is published two times a year and is distributed to more than 17,000 University of Michigan School of Public Health alumni and friends. In 2012, a panel of experts selected Findings for the CASE Circle of Excellence gold award in the category Special Constituency Magazines. Findings also received two silver awards for publication design in the 2012 Addy competition sponsored by the Greater Flint (MI) Ad Club and the American Advertising Federation.

More than 3,600 colleges and universities, primary and secondary independent and international schools, and nonprofit organizations in 76 countries are members of CASE. The CASE Circle of Excellence awards acknowledge superior accomplishments that have lasting impact, demonstrate the highest level of professionalism and deliver exceptional results.
