32nd Annual Minority Health Conference presents The Skin I'm In: A conversation about race and disability
University of Michigan School of Public Health
SPH I and SPH II, 1415 Washington Heights Ann Arbor, MI 48109-2029

The 32nd annual Minority Health Conference looks at the intersection of race and disability and the implications on health disparities in different avenues. We will explore how institutions perpetuate, create, and mitigate disability within communities of African descent. Keynote speakers and seminars come from a variety of backgrounds from Disability Literature, Epidemiology, Nursing, and activists from outside of the University. The conference is open to all students, faculty, and staff from any background. We hope to have a interdisciplinary audience and aim to look at the challenges but also identify potential solutions to the challenges that exist for communities who are disabled in the African diaspora. Come learn, build community outside of your department, and between generations! This open is open to undergraduates, graduate, and doctoral students of all disciplines.

HMP, HBHE, Epidemiology, EHS, Public Health Undergraduate Department, Nutritional Sciences, Office of Student Engagement and Practice, Michigan Public Health Training Center, Woman and Gender Studies, LSA Student Government, OAMI
