Experience what it's like to be an online student with Michigan Public Health! Join us in a unique two-part event that will explore the field of public health and offer a simulation of the online master's class experience.

Part 1: Simulate the class prep. Ahead of the January 25th event, you'll be asked to enroll in the Assessing and Improving Community Health massive open content course from the School of Public Health and Michigan Online to review one video and one reading assignment - less than 30mins - and dive into the field of population health. Start the course here: https://www.online.umich.edu/courses/assessing-and-improving-community-health/. Click on "non-UM access" and complete the sign up form to access the course content. (see further instructions on the registration page in Zoom).

Part 2: Join the live class discussion with Director for Online Degree Programs, Dr. Sharon L.R. Kardia. Similar to a real class, Dr. Kardia will host this 30min discussion focused on the material you've reviewed and guiding you through some key ideas in the field of population health. BONUS: Dr. Kardia and Program Manager, Lisa Garber, will remain on Zoom after the discussion for a short Q&A session to answer your questions around the Population and Health Sciences student experience, curriculum, and more.

Note: To get the most from the classroom experience, this event may have limited capacity. This event is ideal for prospective graduate students who have applied to or are planning to apply to the online MPH program at the University of Michigan School of Public Health and would like to get a feel for the 'classroom experience' that students get in our online master's cohort.
