  • - We introduced our new Health Data Science concentration.

  • - The Big Data Summer Institute has received a three-year Summer Institute in Biostatistics (SIBS) grant from the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI).

  • - The 699 Poster session is a unique tradition in the department.

  • - Our first journey lecture included Oregonian delicacies and a nontechnical talk about Professor Michael Boehnke's journey to today.

  • - Professor Cathie Spino's Journey Lecture included Italian delicacies and a nontechnical talk about her journey to today.

  • - Professor Mousumi Banerjee's Journey Lecture included Indian delicacies and a nontechnical talk about her journey to today.

  • - Professor Jack Kalbfleisch's Journey Lecture included Canadian delicacies and a nontechnical talk about his journey to today.

  • - The American Association for the Advancement of Science has awarded the distinction of Fellow to Dean F. DuBois Bowman.  Congratulations to Dean Bowman.

  • - The Rogel Cancer Center has named Dr. Bhramar Mukherjee one of 14 inaugural Rogel Scholars. 

  • - Professor Zhenke Wu and Gongjun Xu, who are pictured with with our keynote speaker Professor John Storey from Princeton University.

  • - Dr. Yanming Li's award winning proposal is entitled "Network Genome-Wide Association Studies for Early Detection of Cancers."

  • - Professor Veera Baladandayuthapani has been named as the recipient of the 2019 Myrto Lefkopoulou Distinguished Lectureship award.

  • - Yajuan Si and Lili Zhao were awarded the Propelling Original Data Science (PODS) Grants.  

  • - Professor Jeremy Taylor was awarded the Jerome Sacks Award for Outstanding Cross-Disciplinary Research.

  • - Professor Bhramar Mukherjee has been selected as the winner of the 2020 L. Adrienne Cupples Award.

  • - Congratulations to Professor Rod Little for winning the Marvin Zelen Leadership award.

  • - Department Award: Laura Scott - Chair's Citizenship Award

  • - Marco Benedetti was a 2019 JSM Student Paper Winner

  • - Nina Zhou received ASA Biopharmaceutical Section Scholarship Award.

  • - Yuan Yang, Lili Wang and Lan Luo were recipients of an ENAR Distinguished Student Paper Awards for ENAR Spring Meeting 2019.

  • - Sarah Gagliano Taliun and Lauren Beesley were recipients of the Precision Health Scholars Award!

  • - Candice Ammori won a Dow Fellowship in 2019.

  • - Jung Y. Won was awarded first place in the 2019 Student Research Competition at the American Public Health Association annual meeting.
